The Aesthetic Standard is a UK-based directory dedicated to helping people find trusted clinics and qualified practitioners for advanced aesthetic treatments.

We created The Aesthetic Standard to be an independent resource for people researching aesthetic procedures in the UK. Our focus is on providing clear, accurate treatment information alongside detailed clinic profiles, so that patients can make informed decisions with confidence. We work alongside clinics and practitioners to present their expertise, credentials, and patient experience in one place.

We research, review, and list clinics offering advanced aesthetic treatments across the UK. Our current treatment coverage includes CO2 laser resurfacing, with Sculptra, polynucleotides, and stem cell therapy pages in development.

Each clinic listed on our platform has a detailed profile covering the practitioner, their qualifications, treatment pricing, clinic location, and patient reviews. We also publish in-depth treatment guides to help people understand what a procedure involves before they book a consultation.

We take the accuracy of our listings seriously. Before a clinic appears on The Aesthetic Standard, our editorial team reviews the following:

Practitioner credentials — We check that the lead practitioner holds relevant medical qualifications and, where applicable, is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).

CQC registration — Where a clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission, we note this on their profile and link to their CQC report.

Google reviews and ratings — We include verified Google review scores so patients can see real feedback from other people who have visited the clinic.

Patient interviews — Where possible, we speak with patients who have undergone the treatment at a listed clinic. Their experiences, in their own words, are included on our treatment profile pages.

Professional memberships — We record whether a practitioner or clinic holds memberships with recognised bodies such as the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN), the British Association of Medical Aesthetics Nurses (BAMAN), the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM), the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP), and Save Face.
